Competition Categories

Category A – Visual Arts
This category includes sketches, drawings, posters, illustrated comics, and logos.
Entries must not:
-
contain offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content;
-
infringe copyright or the intellectual property rights of third parties;
-
depict identifiable individuals without their consent.
Illustrated comics must:
-
be submitted in JPG or PNG format (high resolution);
-
be original and previously unpublished;
-
belong to any genre, including superheroes, manga, horror, fantasy, or any other imaginative style—the only limit is your creativity.
Category B – Words & Sounds
This category includes short stories, prose works, poetry, instrumental compositions, and songs.
Short Stories and Prose
Complete freedom of style and expression!
Requirements:
-
submissions must be provided in Word or PDF format;
-
photographs or scanned images of text will not be accepted.
Poetry
Poetry gives voice to the soul.
Requirements:
-
all poetic forms are welcome;
-
visual poetry is encouraged, including works inspired by the style of Guillaume Apollinaire.
Music
All musical genres are accepted, including pop, rock, jazz, rap, EDM, and more.
Required formats:
-
MP3 or MP4.
Category C – Creative Crafts & Sculptures
This category includes handcrafted artistic works and sculptures.
Participants may use any materials they consider most suitable for their creations.
Requirements:
-
particular care should be taken when packaging works for shipment in order to prevent damage during transport;
-
a video presentation of the artwork must be submitted. Since the members of the judging panel will evaluate the entries remotely, they may not have the opportunity to view the original work in person;
-
shipping costs to the Lions Club must be covered by the participating school.
The submitted video should clearly showcase the work from different angles and, where appropriate, highlight its materials, dimensions, artistic features, and the concept behind its creation, enabling the jury to conduct a fair and comprehensive evaluation.
Categoria D – Images & Video
This category includes photographs, photographic compositions, AI-generated images, and videos.
Photography
Participants are invited to explore and represent inclusion through the expressive power of light, using photography to convey ideas, emotions, and stories.
The following formats are accepted:
-
individual photographs;
-
photographic sequences, preferably presented as a coherent portfolio or photo book;
-
photographic calendars;
-
any other photographic format that effectively contributes to the objectives of the competition.
Both black-and-white and colour photographic compositions are welcome.
Requirements:
-
images must be submitted in high-resolution JPG or PNG format.
Video
Please note that videos must not contain copyrighted music, soundtracks, or audio material unless the participant holds the necessary rights or permissions.
If AI tools have been used in the creation of the video, participants are asked to disclose this information for illustrative purposes only.
In addition, all video submissions:
-
must be original, unpublished, and visually effective;
-
may include a spoken or written reference to “Embracing Europe: The Relay” or “LIONS CLUB BRESCIA UNITI PER FARE”;
-
are recommended not to exceed three minutes in length;
-
must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content;
-
must not infringe the rights of third parties, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, or any other form of intellectual property.
Consent and Release Forms
All individuals who can be identified in submitted videos must sign the consent and release form attached to these Competition Regulations.
Separate release forms have been prepared for:
-
minors;
-
participants who have reached the age of majority.
The appropriate form must be completed and submitted together with the competition entry.
